On March 5, 2006, Chrissy and I made what will probably be our last trip to Douglas Lake for the season. It wouldn't be long before the lake level will begin rise and soon the prime hunting grounds for Douglas Diamonds will become submerged by many feet of water. I know that I have shown you some of these nifty quartz crystals before, but Chrissy did herself proud by finding a real dandy.

Once I get started taking pictures, there can be no stopping me, so here are a few more pictures showing some more of what we both found that day.

We made a very rare summertime collecting trip to Douglas Lake on September 23, 2007. An extreme drought in the Southeast has caused the lake levels to be amazingly low. This is bad for area homeowners and boaters, but good for Douglas Diamond hunters like us. The following are a few of the more complex specimens that we found on a very HOT day.
