The next day we headed for the coast to see if we could find any beach agates, Becky joined us on this one, we didn't find too many, but had a good time at the coast, stopped by the local casino for about an hour before heading back home.

Oregon Coast!
Heceta Head Lighthouse!

Coast Agate Hunting Grounds, China Creek.

The next day, we headed for Lookout Point Lake, to get some Pet Wood, we found Plenty as usual. Becky went with us this one too. This is one fo her favorite spots.

Another of Darren getting Pet Wood.

Looking up the lake from the dam.
Dig is several miles up the lake, left side of picture. Looks like an album cover to me. LoL

We got our fill of Pet Wood and headed for home. Darren and Tully's time was running short, but we deceided to head for Lucky Boy mine near Blue river, a few miles from my house. The road to the mine was washed out 7 miles up, but we stopped a bit to look for rocks. We found some Zeolites in the basalt.

We then stopped to target shoot, and to let Darren and Tully have a go at a handgun, they can't have them in Australia. They both did pretty good, and had a great time, could have stayed there all day, but had to head down.

This was shot on the way down from target shooting. Three Sisters in the background. Above Blue River lake.

Sadly the next day brought Darren and Tully's day of departure. It sure was a fast 2 weeks. Becky and I hope to go to Australia some day. Darren and Tully may be back next year, I hope they do come back. I have meet a couple of the nicest guys, meet two friends for life, and have a couple of rock buddies clear across the globe. it was just a fantastic adventure For Becky and I. I hope they had half as much fun as we did. Great friends. I wish them well, on the rest of their journey, and look forward to more reports form them and those whose paths they crossed. Thanks for reading!

KOR,

Dan
