The big beryl specimen was more than enough for us to declare the day a great success, but we managed to recover quite a few more keepers. Naturally, this meant that I got a final workout by carrying very heavy buckets all the way back down the bumpy trail.

Chrissy was especially fond of the following loose crystal because of the black "bug" on its termination.

Arriving before dark and staying until late-afternoon may have been a bit hard on our aging bones, but we had an absolute blast.

I was so elated with our booty, that I got a bit silly and posed for a picture on a big flat rock that was "one" with the base of a tree.

"Whee, I can fly!"

"Oh crap . . . no I can't . . . help . . . me . . . "

Until next time!!!!!!!
