As you can see in the pictures above, it consists of a large apatite crystal mass that has been partially replaced in a zoned fashion with red almandine garnet and quartz. This large cabinet size specimen is 6-1/2" and 6-1/2" wide by 3-1/2 thick with a weight of 5 pounds. A big bonus to the little apatite crystal is it fluoresces bright yellow/green under short wave ultra violet light (lousy shortwave UV picture - looks much better in real life). Specimens like this are few and far between even for those who frequent the Sink Hole Mine regularly.
