Calcite with Hematite from Virginia Price: $175.00 ID Code = CaH-0001   Click on each picture to enlarge This amazing specimen collected in Washington County, Virginia consists of an interlocking mass of fantastic calcite scalenohedrons - many of the crystals are double-terminated. As if this wasn't cool enough, the crystals are included and covered with hematite. There is very little damage, but there are some contact points as it was retrieved from a pocket that consisted of interlocking plates and masses of crystals. I have not seen any hematite included/covered hematite crystals like these anywhere, so this specimen represents and exceptionally rare occurrence. The dimensions of the specimen are 9-1/2" wide by 7" thick by 7" tall with a weight of 12 pounds. I am not prepared to divulge the exact collecting location as it is a somewhat sensitive spot, so this specimen along with others, may be the only ones you'll ever see for sale.
