This geode from Pulaksi County, Kentucky is filled with beautiful translucent and transparent quartz crystals with an amethyst/smoky tinge. On top of the quartz is later growth of dogtooth calcite crystals. Both halves as shown are included. Smoky and amethyst geodes are rare in Kentucky and this is an especially nice one that also contains calcite. The geode is about 2-1/4" wide and weighs 8 ounces. While not the biggest one in the buch, it is quality!

This geode from Pulaksi County, Kentucky is filled with beautiful translucent and transparent dark smoky to milky quartz crystals. Both halves as shown are included. Smoky quartz geodes are rare in Kentucky and this is an especially nice one with dark crystals. Multiple phases of quartz crystallization is represented in this nifty specimen. The geode is about 3-1/2" wide and weighs 12 ounces.

This geode portion from the famous Keokuk region of Missour is filled with fantastic "poker chip" calcite crystals with a smattering of white and translucent crystalline aragonite. Geodes like this one are few and far between, so it is very special and showy. Only the half shown is included (the other half didn't survive while collecting). This amazing specimen is about 5-1/2" wide and weighs 3-3/4 pounds. |

This geode from Pulaksi County, Kentucky is filled with bladed white barite, yellowish dolomite and white quartz. Geodes with these minerals are incredibly hard to acquire as they must be recovered from hard bedrock in order for the delicate minerals to remain intact. This nice size geode half geode is about 5-1/2" wide and weighs 3 pounds.
