Tully and I at the Rainbow Pit.
Some of our Rainbow Haul.
I sure love the Rainbow Obsidian!!!
We then headed down to the Peacock, and mahogany pits, we got our fill there and
headed back to the Ochoco's to camp for the night. Well, as we neared Prineville again, we saw a
heavy rain cloud over the Ochoco's, and it appeared to be staying there, so back to the motel we
went. After another shower, and a rest, we headed to Lucky Strike Thunder Egg mine, the next
morning.

More Eggs in wall.
Tully and his biggins!
Once we got our fill we headed back down to the office for coffe and lunch,
provided by the mine owners. Really nice of them. We bought some Blue Mt Picture Jasper, chatted
another hour or so, and finally headed for an area I once found a little Green Moss Agate several
years before. We thought we had driven past the area, when a bit of green stain on the wall caught
my eye, well Darren and Tully proceeded to tear apart that cut bank, and hilside, and we recovered
some 50 pounds of very high quality moss agate. There is still so much there, and it is not even a
known dig site. Pretty cool!!

It was getting late in the day, so we headed the 3 and a half hours back to my
house. We arrived about dark, and pretty much ate, showered and went to bed. The next day,
we unpacked, and washed rocks. Darren and Tully had to get their's ready for shipping back to
Australia. Darren shipped about $300, and Tully nearly the same. A Lot of rocks. But we were not
done yet.
